Christmas Shalom -- 2021 Advent Devotional

Over the course of time, since Jesus rose and the Church was established, people of faith saw fit to divide the calendar year into seasons for the Church. Just as the natural word has seasons marking time, so does the Church.

The Church year is divided into 6 seasons, Advent, Christmas, Epiphany, Lent, Easter, and Pentecost. Just like the regular calendar, each season has its own distinct properties.

We are currently in the Church season of Advent. The focus of Advent is preparation. It is a time where we are preparing for the coming King. We aren’t just preparing for the Savior to come as a baby, we are also preparing for the return of our King. We are preparing for the time when our Triumphant Savior, Jesus Christ, will come again to establish a new heaven and earth. Our prayer for you during this Advent journey is that God would use these Advent devotions to prepare your heart as you await His coming again
